On 10th of February we organized the 9th Endoacademy meeting where we discussed endometriosis and adenomyosis thoroughly. 163 number pf physicans and healthcare professionals participated in the meeting and we broadcastes live on Facebook. We thank all the speakers for their presentations and surgery videos and all the participants for their interest.
With the cooperation of Prof. Dr. Ümit İnceboz, we held an interactive lecture about endometriosis and reproductive health to 120 young lady. Special thanks for the school administration and to girls for their participation.
Today, we talked with approximately 150 adolescents about the endometriosis disease and reproductive health at SEV American College. We have expressed the social dimension of the disease, which actually concerns everyone. Pınar Yalçın Bahat, MD lectured about the properties of the periods in adolescants. She also spotted that, the pain during their periods should not be underestimated. She highlighted the importance of nutrition. We would like to thank SEV American College for this lovely seminar, and we are aiming to reach more adolescents.
The Endometriosis School of Turkey, which we organized the first one this year, was held on 10-11 December 2018 in Istanbul with an impressive participation. The 2-day course, included both lectures on endometriosis, live surgery and a practice session with a wet-lab training. It was an inspiring course for the young colleagues. Skilled endometriosis experts gave excellent lectures.
After the inspiring course, we congratulated Prof. Engin Oral, MD on behalf of our society for being elected as the new President of European Endometriosis League.

Since 2013 in order to raise awareness for Cities without Cars Day “The Fancy Women’s Bike Tour” has been taking place in several cities in Turkey. This year several members of our society from Istanbul and Izmir led by Prof. Banu Kumbak Aygun, MD and Prof. Umit Inceboz, MD joined this tour. With our patients we biked with our decorated bicycles to raise awareness for Endometriosis. We hope to join this event next year in other cities as well.
Founding chairman of Endometriosis Adenomyosis Society Prof. Engin Oral, MD was elected as the Chairman of the European Society of Endometriosis in the board meeting held on 23 November 2018 in Vienna. The European Society of Endometriosis was founded in 2005 and is one of the well known associations in the scientific arena on endometriosis known as chocolate cyst disease.
The 4th European Endometriosis Congress was held on 23 November 2018 in Vienna. The president of our society Prof. Yücel Karaman, MD made a speech on medical treatment in myoma and adenomyosis-related uterine bleedings. Prof. Engin Oral, MD chaired a panel about ovarian endometriosis and infertility, and also the panel on different perspectives on infertility. The general secretary of our society, Assoc. Prof Taner Usta, MD also chaired a panel and participated in a case discussion session. In addition, Assoc. Prof Hale Göksever Çelik, MD, Pinar Yalcın Bahat, MD, Cihan Kaya MD, Göknur Topçu MD, Fitnat Topbaş MD, Ezgi Darıcı MD participated in the meeting actively with a total of 5 oral presentations and 6 poster presentations.
Our Founding President Prof. Engin Oral, MD was elected as the ‘President of the European Endometriosis League’ during the board meeting. ELL was founded in 2005, and is one of the striking associations in the scientific arena on endometriosis.
